Christmas Planner | ExecutiveHomeMaker.com

When it comes to planning, I have to make my list and check it a bazillion times to make sure I’ve completed everything. When I came across this little Christmas Planner from Executive Home Maker, I knew I had to share this with you. I loved the way she thought of everything, including the Christmas Portrait part (hint, hint).

I was able to plan each gift for each child in my family; that was the icing on the cake. I wrote down all the ideas I had for the kids, which made it easier for me to find what the kids would each like. I have found that the older the kids get, the harder it becomes to get their Christmas gifts. This was a great way for me to tally up all of my ideas. I was able to complete my Christmas shopping in record time and I couldn’t have done it without her Christmas Planner. You can bet that I’ll be using this all year round next year to make sure I can find the perfect gift for the kids and buy throughout the year, like I keep saying I’m going to do.

On the very last page, it gives you a place to document what you loved about this year. What your favorite traditions are and what new ones you want to start. This is a great page for the 2009 “year in review” scrapbook.

Guided Light PhotographyPhotography Challenge | South Bend Indiana

Last week I posted the first of many challenges for fellow photographers as a way to broaden their view on objects that we see every day, FOOD. I had asked for anyone that took the challenge to send me their results. Since I didn’t receive results I decided to use some images from one of my favorite bakers’ website. She was my inspiration for the food that I chose to feature, The Pumpkin Pie Bites from Bakerella.

Although mine didn’t turn out like hers, they are still pretty tasty!

Inspirational Website – Bakerella.com

Allow me to introduce the beautiful, sweet, and tasty treats from Bakerella.

First, in honor of my beautiful little boy (who isn’t feeling well today), here are the Sesame Street Cake Pops she did for the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street. When I was looking through her website trying to find the recipe for the pumpkin pie bites, I came across this one. Bryce was instantly excited to see all the smiling faces involved with the cake pops. She did such an amazing job with the details that you could almost pick them up and squeeze them to death. Though, I wouldn’t recommend it because you’d be very sticky.

Next, in honor of my WONDERFUL husband, is the Happy Father’s Day Happy Meal. The bun is made out of cup cakes, the beef patty is a brownie, the fries are cookies, and the condiments are colored icing. How delicious does this look? My mouth is watering as we speak, or read. ;)

Lastly, for all of my amazing brides from 2008 & 2009 and my future brides of 2010 and beyond, is the Wedding Cake Pops. I love how that this groom used the cake pops as a way to propose. (Note to all future grooms, have Guided Light Photography there when you propose to document this special event. It’s the most magical moment in her life). I’m sitting here trying to imagine how small these are and how careful she must have been. I don’t think that the decorations are big enough for me to maneuver; the work of a true artist. I love them!

As I mentioned before, I just adore all of her creative ideas. Scroll through her site and find something you like. I promise there is something there for everyone. :)

Keep your eye out for more challenges. I’d love to have the opportunity to feature the amazing talents of all my fellow photographers and those who just like to read the blog.

*Bakerella is not only a mad woman in the kitchen but she’s also the photographer for all of the images on her website, now that’s some serious talent.  Check this out to get all of the tasty photo details.

You may remember a previous Vendor Spotlight I wrote featuring Karen Barnett from Valley Screen for her new line of products. Well, I am happy to announce that the website for Big Shots is now up and running. They have such great ideas for a nursery, place of business, and even your living room.

Here are only a few things they feature that I just adore, especially as a photographer :)

Wedding Vendor SpotlightSouth Bend, Indiana

You may remember my Vendor Spotlight on Celebrated Events. Well, here is my vendor spotlight on the “sister company” – also owned by Cynthia Basker.

I’ve always enjoyed going into Girly Girl Gifts and looking at all of her fun products. I am so detail oriented so I especially enjoy her accessories. The other day, I received an invitation to her Holiday Open House. I waited with anticipation for the day to arrive. As I walked to the front of the building, she had a beautiful Christmas display in the window; complete with sparkly white snow, blue bulbs, and silver decorative ornaments. I made my way through the door and was greeted by her beautiful sister asking if I wanted anything to eat or drink. There were case displays with more snow and ornaments, banners, of course Christmas accessories. As I walked into her consultation room for Celebrated Events, she had a bar, a clearance section and snacks. Oh and don’t forget about the photo booth from FunZone Photo Booths. So, I made her get in it with me. :)

Isn’t she fabulous?!?

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Go check out her Holiday Open House. You won’t be sorry.

I was so excited when I found out that you can purchase your bridemaid’s dresses at J.Crew. I adore this Silk dupioni rosette dress. It’s just so sweet.

This is probably the only dress that is this extravagant. I love how elegant the flowers bring to such a simple dress. If I could walk down the aisle (to my wonderful husband) I would wear the Silk tricotine Avery dress. It’s just so elegant. Cover the front with a ton of pearls and you have a VERY sexy, yet elegant look.
