Engagement Photography – Purdue University, West Lafayette Indiana

I had such a great time on the campus of Purdue with Nicole and Will. I have never been to Purdue before so I’m sure the campus had so much more for me to photograph than time allowed. After meeting 3 years ago in the lunch room, Nicole decided that this was a good opportunity to figure out who her “mystery man” was as a freshman.

As we walked down memory lane, Nicole confessed how excited she would get when she knew she would walk past him on campus. I loved watching the excitement on her face reliving those feelings all over again. And now, they’re getting married and they couldn’t be happier.

This one is just too cute.

It’s not the best angle – I needed a 20 foot latter – but you can see the name Purdue in the bushes. Sweet!

For the record, I swear Will has been watching America’s Next Top Model. He’s got it.

crisp_e0011.jpg

Of course, he’s also good at making Nicole laugh.

crisp_e0016.jpg

This is the coolest sculpture.

crisp_e0018.jpg

I love this tower. I wish I had a fish eye for this one.

crisp_e0021.jpg

Like, I said, I think Will watches America’s Next Top Model. He spun her to where she should be for this shot.

So, Nicole is a fabulous nurse and Will is finishing up his doctorate in Pharmaceutical medicine. Therefore, this was a sentimental spot for their session. I just love it. I just can’t get over how beautiful this sign is.

My favorite shot of the day.!!

I so wish it was warm enough for the fountain to be on.

So, to get Nicole to laugh, all she had to think of is this picture they have of themselves on a windy day. There was a man in the background with his shirt flying in his face and his belly hanging out. It gets her every time. Good to know. :)

This is where they met. I just love this shot. A perfect ending to a perfect day.

Engagement Photography – Howard Park, South Bend Indiana

Lindsay and I went to high school together. We had a couple of classes, but never really got to know one another. When I found out she was getting married, I knew I just HAD to shoot her wedding.

So far, I have learned that Tom was captain of his football team, LOVES Notre Dame, and adores Lindsay. It made me smile when I’d tell him to look at Lindsay and he would get this big grin on his face of pure adoration.

Let’s just say that I am super excited for their wedding next year. I can’t wait to see the beautiful images that I will have the honor of taking to document their amazing day.

I am obsessed with image because I didn’t realize that my 50mm would do this on my 5D. It reminds me of a LensBaby.

This is probably my favorite image of the day. They are just amazing in this image. The skyline is awesome too.

Engagement PhotographyNotre Dame University, Notre Dame Indiana

Kelsey and Mike called me this summer from Chicago and wanted to book us before anyone else snatched up her date. We have been planning for their engagement session for around 3 months now. Needless to say, I was so excited to finally meet them for their session.

In talking with them about the big day, I got goosebumps with their plans. Their wedding will be a beautiful, vintage style wedding at Tippancanoe Place. They will be our feature guest book, so stay tuned for those of you that want to see the new look.

I must be the only person to not know that this amazing painting is in the Golden Dome. Crazy!

This one was so random, but it’s one of my favorites.

brickl_e0009.jpg

I just everything about this one. She doesn’t look so short in this one. :)

For clearification. “It’s the Bride’s day”

But, that’s why Chris follows the groom, because it’s his day too. :)

I adore them.

You can’t NOT like off camera lighting.

This is beautiful. I love how they look so peaceful and deep in prayer.

I love this series.

Kristi and Dave called us only looking for engagement pictures. BUT, once they met with me Dave left saying that we were the photographers for them. They booked us the following week.

They have some great ideas in store for their guests and I’m excited to photograph their wedding next July.

I knew Erin in middle school. She was always the pretty girl with a huge personality. The biggest Notre Dame I’ve known (sorry guys, pretty sure she beats you out in that #1 fan thing).

When my mom posted our old cheer leading picture on facebook, I had to tag her. After talking about her wedding a little and looking at our albums, Erin decided that Chris and I were the ones she wanted to photograph her wedding. I’m so glad to because her wedding is going to be fabulous and she’s going to have an awesome guest book too. :)

Here are just a few imges that will be featured in her guest book.
