Portrait Photography – Pedal Car Museum, Elkhart Indiana

Tiffani asked Brady what he wanted to be when he grew up. “A Race Car Driver,” was his answer. Right away, my mind went to TireRack, South Bend MotorSpeedway, or Ryan Newman’s family home. The Newman’s never called me back, but it turned out to be just fine because this gave us opportunity to go into Brady’s grandfather’s pedal car museum. He had so much fun going from car to car to see which one he could fit in. I just love this place. I can’t find a link to their website, so if you know what it is, please let me know so I can put it up on my blog.

“WOOSH!”

This car was very cool. It had grandpa’s name on the side.

I think they call this road range when you get older. For now, I’m going to call it too cute.

I am pretty sure that this was a Purdue car, but I could be wrong.

He didn’t fit, but he sure had to try.

It’s the kiddie corvette.

In case everyone else was wondering, Brady said that this bus was too little for the dog. He didn’t try to get in it either.

What a little cutie. Thanks for being so much fun Brady.

Portrait Photography – Oscolo Township Fire Department, Elkhart Indiana

Bryce and Layla’s grandfather use to be a firefighter at the Oscolo Township Fire Department. It only made sense to photograph them at the fire department for the Born to Shine Event.

I remember these two little cuties from the walk that I did in Elkhart for the March of Dimes earlier this year. When I found out they were two of the kids I would have the pleasure, I was exstatic. They are so adorable and we had a lot of fun. Just look at these smiles.

The fireman gave Bryce a firetruck that he never put down.

And he got a cool hat. I, apparantly, didn’t know how to wear it. :)

Look how beautiful this little girl is. Her eyes are just piercing.

Bryce was so having more fun watching the construction crew go back and forth in the dirt than looking at the firetrucks.

This is my favorite of Layla!

GIGGLES!!

He’s reminding me that I owe him TWO lollipops for getting into the firetruck.

I love that he was pulling so hard that his tongue was hanging out.

Portrait Photography – Battell Park, South Bend Indiana

In working on my workshop, I decided that I wanted some new portraits that were specifically for the workshop while I am training. So, I put out a casting call and Jennifer signed up.

Jennifer is also a photographer and was soaking up all the information I was giving her. She made for a beautiful model and took direction very well. Sometimes, I really think that we as photographers need to feel what our clients go through when they are being photographed. I made Chris photograph me this year so I could be reminded.

Jennifer, you look beautiful and I can’t wait for you to join my training.

Portrait Photography – Concord High School, Elkhart Indiana

These two little guys are the very best of friends. They both happened to have jersey’s from opposing teams (Notre Dame and Purdue). We went out to Concord High School and had a BLAST running around on the football field. We ran all over the place, chasing each other, and my favorite thing in the world, GIGGLING! I just love these pictures.

Engagement Photography – Howard Park, South Bend Indiana

Lindsay and I went to high school together. We had a couple of classes, but never really got to know one another. When I found out she was getting married, I knew I just HAD to shoot her wedding.

So far, I have learned that Tom was captain of his football team, LOVES Notre Dame, and adores Lindsay. It made me smile when I’d tell him to look at Lindsay and he would get this big grin on his face of pure adoration.

Let’s just say that I am super excited for their wedding next year. I can’t wait to see the beautiful images that I will have the honor of taking to document their amazing day.

I am obsessed with image because I didn’t realize that my 50mm would do this on my 5D. It reminds me of a LensBaby.
